On Wednesday, October 28, a photo shooting for the webshop took place.
Maya Hug and Dani Honegger are our brand ambassadors and show in an autumnal landscape what kind of accessories will be available in our webshop during the colder season.
The webshop is currently under construction and should open as soon as possible.

Object of the week: Suspension strut
Today I will tell you something about the shock absorber.
The shocks we buy are made in Taiwan by the company Forsa. We are in very close contact with Mrs. Jasper Chang at Forsa Enterprises Co, Ltd.
The production time is 90 days. The shock absorbers are delivered to us in Switzerland by ship freight. The delivery takes 10 weeks. You see, the part has had a long journey before it will start the next journey in our vehicles.
This year the shock absorber has already been ordered and shipped about 1'500 times on our webshop. That's about 40 shock absorbers per week. As you can see, this is a very high number. That's why our development has taken up this issue. With the help of the ZHAW, the development department tested the behavior of the shock absorbers in an endurance test. The result: The bearings of all suspension struts were reinforced with the aim of replacing fewer struts in the future. This has a positive effect on our vehicles and on the environment. Maintenance costs are reduced, which means that we can also reduce environmental pollution. You see, everything is always connected.

The color of the shock absorber allows conclusions to be drawn about the vehicle type:
White = PAH
Red = DXP
Black = DXP 5.2, Australia and DXCargo
Grey = reinforced fork

Solar power for our charging station
Last week Thuri converted one of our 3 charging stations to solar power. Now all vehicles that are refueled at this column are supplied with solar power. How does this work? The electricity comes from our own solar system and is temporarily stored thanks to the battery storage.

Doing moderate sports is a good thing. Not only for fitness but also to strengthen the immune system and to be generally more efficient. We offer two programs a week:
Tuesday
Rolf and Sabine each go jogging during the lunch break - sometimes also Nordic Walking. You are cordially invited!
Thursday
Every Thursday the following lesson takes place alternately: Yoga, Pilates, meditation, and body awareness.
This week Sabine will lead the Pilates lesson from 7.10 am to 8.00 am.

Delivery ePedelec to Germany
Last week the first ePedelecs were sent to Deutsche Post for field testing. In total, they will be used at 10 different locations throughout Germany. Our salesman Wilf will actively support the test deployment for about 2 years. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Deutsche Post is as enthusiastic about our product as we are.

Lilian Stilhart
Lilian has been working with us as an assistant to Martin Kyburz since September 1, 2020. She supports Martin and management in all areas. Additionally, she supports Sabine in matters concerning Corona.
She has many years of experience in the back office and has also taught basic courses in adult education at the vocational school in Wil MS Office.
Because of love she moved to Freienstein and found her way to us. She finds her balance in nature and sports.

A day in the life of Brian Maag
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Brian Maag: I have been working at KYBURZ in the purchasing team since 01.10.2014.
Erza: What are your activities?
Brian: I work in purchasing and in AVOR. I work on purchasing projects, generate production orders and supply orders, which come from sales/inside sales, and have the responsibility for our parts lists. My product groups include lithium batteries, connectors, signal elements, automotive, and prints/electronics.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Brian: Not every day of the week is the same. However, my day is filled with creating production and staging orders, scheduling materials, and contacting suppliers. Furthermore, as a service provider, we have to deal with various people and concerns in relation to most departments within the company. We work together with the development, quality assurance, production, and also for the service/webshop.
Erza: What do you like? What do you like less?
Brian: I like our dynamic company, where we work together to overcome challenges and master special situations. Above all, I like our purchasing team, which harmonizes perfectly between business and private life.
We as a team, as well as the whole company, have managed the Corona time super - see the production of all planned vehicles! This was a huge effort in terms of materials management along with all other projects and work. In this respect, we can all be proud of the performance of all Kyburzianer!
What I rather dislike is that due to the Corona time and the different locations we have much less personal exchange with the individual departments.
Erza: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Brian: In my free time I play soccer and classical guitar. At the moment there are unfortunately a few other activities that you can do outside or with other people, but I like to be around people.

notime nominated for Swiss Logistic Award
The subsidiary of Swiss Post has been nominated for the Swiss Logistic Award. What we are particularly pleased about is the presence of our swap box trailer in the video, which was shot for the nomination. But shush! That is still very fresh.
Let's keep our fingers crossed notime and hope they can win the award.
C-Partner Training «Presto»
On Thursday, November 05, 2020, we were allowed to train 5 employees of the company "Presto" as C-partners. The company «Presto» makes deliveries with DXPs of the Swiss Post.
The newly trained employees are now able to carry out small repairs and fault diagnosis on the KYBURZ DXP independently.

Big cinema «Der Läufer»
Our vehicles are not only needed to distribute the mail - no, but they are also often used for film shooting.
This was also the case during the shooting of the film "Der Läufer". A touching drama about a long-distance runner.
